Hello everyone, as you probably know from the title, today we're going to discuss the price of a diesel generator. I'm actually a little unsure how to approach this topic myself, but after much thought, I decided to share a customer purchase example.

      This year, a customer was helping a small village machinery processing plant select a generator set. Feeling his boss had instructed him to get a low price, he went for the lowest price. He contacted several manufacturers for quotes, but each one offered a different price, leaving him with a headache. He later shared this with a knowledgeable friend, who advised him that the price of an electric generator diesel isn't fixed. He needed to first understand the key factors influencing it, including the exact configuration of the generator set the plant needed. At the time, the buyer didn't trust anyone, even my clear recommendations. It wasn't until his friend confirmed my accurate advice that he finally relaxed his guard and continued to contact me for more information on diesel generators. After calculations, he determined that a 50kW diesel generator set would be sufficient. However, further research revealed that the price difference between a 50kW and a 30kW generator set was only two to three thousand RMB. If he had chosen a smaller unit, he might have overloaded and shut down during startup. Fortunately, the customer heeded my advice and opted for the 30kW unit.

      This is a matter of overall unit power, as well as the generator's core components. Some use both branded diesel engines and AC generators, while others use smaller brands. This also affects the price of the diesel generator. Of course, well-known brands will inevitably lead to higher prices for diesel generators, while smaller brands will tend to be cheaper. Everyone understands the reasons. Personally, I believe that regardless of whether the brand is a major or minor one, it's crucial to carefully consider whether it's compatible with your environment and whether the subsequent parts, after-sales maintenance, and cost-effectiveness are sufficient. However, caution is advised when purchasing a particularly low-priced diesel generator. While the price may be attractive, if a generator fails, parts may be hard to find, and delayed after-sales service could be a real problem. This is a true story I've experienced, but when purchasing, everyone will inevitably compare the price of an electric generator with a diesel generator. Here, I suggest that you make your purchase based on your actual situation.             It's okay to compare prices of the same brand and the same configuration, but it's meaningless to compare different brands with different configurations.
